Recent Changes to the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations (85/1993)

The Minister of Employment and Labour has, under section 43(1)(a) and (b) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. 85 of 1993), after consultation with the Advisory Council for Occupational Health and Safety, made the following regulations in the Schedule.

• Noise Exposure Regulations, 2024

• Physical Agents Regulations, 2024

• Amendment to General Safety Regulations, 2025

Invitation of Public Comments: Draft Construction Regulations, 2025

Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations (85/1993)

New Draft Construction Regulations have been published by the Minister of Employment and Labour.

Interested persons who wish to comment on the draft regulations are invited to do so in writing within 90 days of publication of the notice.
