As part of the NNR’s public participation process in accordance with section 21(4) of the NNRA, the Board held the first set of public hearings in Cape Town on 3,10 and 17 February 2024. The objective was to gather information from various stakeholders and members of the public on their concerns relating to health, safety and environment connected with the Koeberg LTO application.
The NNR Board will be conducting a second set of public hearings to ensure that sufficient information is gathered to complete the final review process of the Koeberg LTO application. Members of the public and all stakeholders are invited to attend the second set of scheduled public hearings for the Koeberg LTO application.
